In 25 Years I’ve Never Done This Until Now…

I’ve been a small business owner and small business advocate for over 25 years. In all that time, I’ve never publicly endorsed a candidate for President, until now.

In this election, I urge you to vote for Joe Biden for President. Even if you’ve never voted for a Democrat before.

Hundreds of thousands—perhaps millions—of small businesses have permanently closed. When I see so many small businesses shuttered—and more than 200,000 Americans dead—I am not only heartbroken, I’m angry.

If Donald Trump had developed and implemented a national plan to combat Covid-19, many fewer businesses and many fewer Americans would have died.

To this day—ten months after the virus came to our shores—we still do not have a national plan to combat this virus, to restore our economy, to shore up our Main Streets. And Trump and his Administration have regularly ignored the needs of small businesses and put stumbling blocks in our way.

What I—or any competent President—would have done differently

How Trump and his Administration ignored the needs of small business and hindered our survival

Just declaring the virus under control does not bring enough customers back to save our Main Streets. Until we feel safe—until we actually are safe—not enough Americans will return to normal life. And more small businesses will die.

Even if a vaccine is developed soon, producing, distributing, and administering it will require a major national program. We have many more months—perhaps years—to deal with this crisis and the economic fallout. Small businesses will continue to be in jeopardy. Possibly yours.

Trump’s bungled and inadequate handling of the pandemic does not inspire confidence that he can manage a major national roll-out of a vaccine and restore our economy.

Even if you’ve never voted for a Democrat before, this election goes beyond party labels.

Please VOTE FOR JOE BIDEN AND KAMALA HARRIS. I am confident that a Biden/Harris Administration will have the competence and character to take on the very difficult work needed in 2021 and beyond to help our country, our economy, and our Main Streets recover.

I hope you and your business are doing okay throughout this and wish you all the best.
